· Educational Qualification

For Science Subject:

• Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, States and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50 marks in English.
• Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from central, state and UT recognised Polytechnic institute with % marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (Or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course)
• Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and mathematics from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

For Other than Science Subjects:

• Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
• Essential Requirements:
• Education Boards recognised by Central State and UT as on of registration shall only be considered.
• Candidates eligible for Science Subjects examination also eligible for Other than Science Subjects and would be given option of appearing in both examinations in one sitting.

Registration Process:

• Register with personal details and contact detail.
• User-ID will be email ID and password will be sent via email/SMS
• Re-login to complete personal details, communication details, qualification details, declaration and upload documents
• Enter OTPs sent to mobile and email for verification
• Fill all required details carefully

Required Documents for Upload:

• Passport size recent colour photograph (100-200 KB .jpg/.jpeg format) – taken within one month holding black slate with name and date

Selection Process

Online Test: Objective type test (bilingual – English & Hindi except English Paper)

• Science Subjects: 60 minutes – Physics, Mathematics and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus
• Both (Science & Other than Science): 85 minutes – Physics Mathematics, English and RAGA
• Marking pattern: +1 marks for correct answer, 0 unattempted, -0.25 for wrong answer
• Normalisation of Marks: Marks will be normalised to account for variation in difficulty levels across different sessions  
• Phase-II Testing at ASC: State-wise shortlisted candidates will be called for:
• Document Verification
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT –I & PFT -II)
• Adaptability Test –I (Objective type written test)
• Adaptability Test – II (As per policy in vogue)
• Physical Fitness Details:
• PFT-I: 1.6 Km run (male: within 7 minutes, Female: within 8 minutes)
• PFT – II for male: 10 Push-ups (1 min), 20 Squats (1 min)
• PFT – II for female: 10 sit-ups (1 min 30 sec), 15 Squats (1 min)
• Phase-III – Medical Examination: Conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards including baseline investigations (Blood tests, Urine tests, X-Ray, ECG, USG for females,ect)
• Application Medical Board: Available for candidates medically unfit (Fee: ₹40/-)
• Final Selection: Based on state-wise merit, Medical fitness, availability of vacancies, and meeting all eligibility criteria

The Agni path Scheme is a new HR methodology for induction into the Indian Air Force for a period of your of four years. It provides an opportunity  to unmarried Indian youth to experience military life. After  completion, up to 25% of each batch may be enrolled in the regular cadre based on performance and organisational requirements.

Q2 What are the age requirements for IAF Agniveer vayu Intake 01/2027?

Candidates must be born between 01 January 2006 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit should not exceed 21 years on the date of enrolment. Candidates clearing all selection stages must meet this age requirement.

Q3 Can married candidates apply for Agniveer vayu recruitment?

No, only unmarried candidates (male and female) are eligible for enrolment as Agniveer vayu. Candidates must undertake not to marry during the four-year engagement period. Marriage during service will result in discharge, female candidates must also undertake not to get pregnant during this period.

Q4 What is the salary structure for Agniveer vayu during the for-year engagement?

Agniveervayu receive ₹30,000 monthly in the first year, increasing to ₹33,000 in second year, ₹36,500 in third year, and ₹ 40,000 in forth year. Additionally risk and hardship allowances, dress and travel allowances are provided. A Seva Nidhi package  of approximately ₹ 10.04 Lakhs is given upon completion of four years.
