Indian Army Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: E./B. Teach degree in the in notified Engineering streams from recognized Universities/ Institutions by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other education institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities/ Autonomous Universities under UGC Act 1956, IIT Act 1961, AICTE Act 1987, NITSER Act 2007 and IIIT Act 2024
- For Final Year Students: Candidates studying in final year of Engineering degree course are eligible to apply. They must submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination along with mark sheets of all semesters/years by 01 October 2026 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at PCTA.
- Important Note: Candidates with graduation from foreign countries are not permitted to apply for this course.
- Stream Requirement : Only the Engineering streams and their acceptable equivalent streams as strictly notified in the official notification will be accepted. Any variation between the nomenclature of Engineering stream on degree parchment/ Marksheet and online application will result in cancellation of candidature.

- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Shi Lanka and East African countries with the intention of permanently setting in India (certificate of eligibility required)

- Candidates will neither be allowed to marry during the period of training nor be allowed to live with Parents/Guardians
- A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of application, though successful at SSB interview and medical examination, will not be inducted for training

- 4m run: 10 Minutes 30 Seconds
- Push-UP: 40
- Pull-UP: 06
- Sit-UP: 30
- Squats: two set of 30 repetitions
- Lunges: Two sets of 10 repetitions
- Swimming: Should know fundamentals of swimming

How to Apply Online Indian Army Recruitment 2026 (Step-by-Step)
Step 1 : Visit the indian army recruitment 2026 official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
Step 2 : Click on ‘Officer entry Apply/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (if not already registered)
Step 3 : Fill the online registration from carefully after reading instructions
Step 4 : After registration, click on ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard
Step 5 : A page ‘Officers Selection- Eligibility will open. Click ‘Apply’ shown against Technical Graduate Course
Step 6 : Fill Application from with details under various segments- Personal information, communication details, Education details and details of previous SSB
Step 7 : Click Save & Continue each time before moving to next segment
Step 8 : After filling all details, review on ‘summary of your information’ page
Step 9 : After ascertaining correctness of all details, click on ‘Submit’
Step 10 : Take out two copies of application having Roll Number, 30 minutes after final closure of online application
Selection Process
- Online Application: Candidates must apply online through www.joinindianarmy.nic.in
- Short listing: Application will be shortlisted based on cumulative percentage of marks obtained by candidates upto final semester/year. Cut-off will be applied for each Engineering stream based on vacancy to call up ratio.
- Allotment of selection centre: After short-listing centre allotment will be intimated via email. Candidates will select their SSB dates on first come first serve basis.
SSB Interview: Two-stage selection procedure conducted at one of the selection Centres – Prayagrag (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and jalandhar Cantt (Punjab). Duration is maximum five days
- Medical Examination: Candidates who get recommended after Stage-2 of SSB will undergo medical examination. Validity of SSB medical examination is 270 days.
- Merit List: Merit list will be prepared engineering stream/subject wise based on SSB interview marks.
- Joining Letter: Candidates n merit list who came within stipulated stream-wise vacancies and are medically fit will be issued joining letters for pre-commissioning training at PCTA, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
